Terms & Conditions.

Most terms pages are written to be skipped. Ours is written to be read — plain English, no traps, everything we promise on the website spelled out properly. This is the agreement between you and us when you order a snack. website.

1. Who we are.

snack. is a website service operated by Future8 in Brisbane, Australia ("we", "us", "snack."). When you submit a build request and pay the start fee, you ("you", "your business") are agreeing to these terms. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.

2. The build — $100 to start.

• The start fee is $100 + GST, one-off and non-refundable. It's a buy-in that covers our design and copywriting time, whether or not you go live. Optional add-ons (logo design, brand kit) are also one-off and non-refundable once work begins.
• We aim to have your site ready for review in about a week from receiving your details and payment. That's a target, not a guarantee — if you're slow to send content or answers, the clock pauses.
• The build includes up to five pages (typically home, about, services, gallery or menu, contact), with all words written by us and reviewed by you.
• You get one round of revisions before go-live. We're reasonable people — a stray typo is always free — but "start again with a different vibe" is a new build, not a revision.
• If you decide not to go live, that's completely fine. No monthly ever starts, we part as friends, and the start fee covers the work done.

3. The monthly — $75 + GST.

• Your monthly starts the day your site goes live and is billed in advance via Stripe.
• It covers hosting, security, backups, the contact form, your back-end login (visitor numbers, enquiries, requests) and your free quarterly update (section 4).
• There is no minimum term and no lock-in. Cancel whenever you like (section 8).
• If a payment fails, we'll let you know and retry. If it stays unpaid for 14 days we may take the site offline until it's sorted. We'll never delete your content without telling you first.
• We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change, and you can cancel before it kicks in.

4. Your free quarterly update.

Every quarter you're with us, you get one update to your site, free. Here's exactly what that means, so neither of us ever has to argue about it:

One update covers one of these:

• New photos — swapping or adding images across the site (you supply them).
• Text changes to existing pages — refreshing your About section, updating services, prices, hours, team members, that sort of thing.
• One new page — where you provide the content, or you approve content our AI drafts from what you tell us. One page per update.

The rules, kept simple:

• One per quarter (Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, Jul–Sep, Oct–Dec). Updates don't roll over or stack — use it or it resets. That keeps the price at $75.
• Send everything for the update in one go, through your back end or by email. One update = one bundled request, not a drip-feed over three months.
• Each update includes one round of revisions after we show you the result.
• We'll have it live within 5 business days of receiving everything we need.
• Content is yours to supply. If you'd rather we draft it with AI from your notes, you review and approve it before it goes live — once approved, it's treated as your content.

What it doesn't cover:

• Redesigns, layout overhauls or "can we make it feel different" jobs.
• New functionality — stores, bookings, member areas, integrations. That's a bigger meal than a snack.
• Logo or brand changes (we can quote those separately).
• Anything beyond a reasonable volume — if a single "update" is really five updates in a trench coat, we'll say so and quote the difference fairly before doing anything.

Need a change that doesn't fit the freebie, or need it sooner than next quarter? Just ask — small jobs are quoted flat and in advance, and nothing is ever done without your OK.

5. Who owns what.

• You own your domain name, your business content, your logo, your photos and the words about your business — always, including anything you approved from our AI drafts.
• We own the site design, code and hosting setup while you're a subscriber. Think of it as a rental with an option to buy.
• The buyout: $1,500 + GST flat, any time, and the entire site — design, code, files — is yours forever. We'll hand it over in a form another developer can host.
• We may show your site in our portfolio ("a taste of our work"). If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we won't.

6. Your content and how the site's used.

• You promise the content you give us (or approve) is yours to use — no borrowed photos, no copied text, nothing misleading about what your business offers.
• We won't build or host sites that are unlawful, deceptive, or promote scams, hate or harm. If we discover that after go-live, we can take the site down and end the agreement.
• You're responsible for your business's legal requirements — licences, disclaimers, privacy obligations for any customer data your enquiries collect. We'll flag the obvious stuff, but we're designers, not your lawyers.

7. Hosting, uptime and backups.

• We host your site on fast, reputable, secure infrastructure and keep regular backups.
• We aim for your site to be up all day, every day, but no host on earth can guarantee 100% uptime, and neither do we. If something breaks, fixing it becomes our top priority.
• Requests lodged through your back end get a human response within 48 hours on business days.

8. Cancelling.

• Cancel any time by email or through your back end. Your subscription ends at the close of the billing month you've already paid for — no cancellation fees, no exit interviews.
• When you go, your domain and your content go with you. We'll send your text and images and help you point your domain wherever you like.
• The site itself (design and code) stays ours unless you take the $1,500 buyout.
• We keep a backup of your content for 90 days after cancellation, then it's securely deleted.

9. Secret Sauce (the SEO add-on).

• $45 + GST a month, on top of your $75 monthly. No lock-in, cancel any time, same rules as the main subscription.
• You get a fortnightly article (you pick the topic from our suggestions and approve it before it's published), rank tracking in your back end, and local-market monitoring.
• We do not guarantee rankings, traffic or leads. Nobody honestly can. We guarantee the work.
